We all come from the universe and return to the universe. This fundamental energy concept underlies all our workshops and classes at Designs by Nature Gems.

Our teaching style focuses on interactive methods that allows you to discover and grow with the crystals at their own pace. Laura Sultan, our crystal healer and teacher, prefers having individuals working in groups and pairs to help share ideas in the classroom and takes a heavy question-answer approach.

At the end of each course, you will be asked to meditate and grow with the stones as well as choose a single stone that called to you that day

Our Classes

The 5 Fundamental Crystals

Learn about the five fundamental crystals that will jump-start your own crystal journey. All members of the quartz family, each stone carries a specific meaning and properties that can be used in your daily life.
This class will also explain the science and structural matrix of these stones. Don’t worry- not too much in-depth science! Just enough to understand how amazing the earth really is, if you don’t know already.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Crystals & Chakras

Go in-depth about how each chakra vibrates to specific crystal frequencies. You will learn tips and tricks on how to recognize what chakra a crystal resonates with, the type of resonance, and how to meditate with these crystals to open up blockages in your chakras.

Crystals for Pregnancy & Fertility

Fertility and pregnancy is a special time for many women. This class will discuss which crystals aid in fertility and protect when once pregnant. You will learn complimentary crystals to help enhance and relax you while on your female journey. Lastly, you will reflect with the crystals you learnt about to find the right combination for yourself.

Grounding & Energizing Crystals

Learn about difference between various grounding and energizing crystal gemstones. You will go in-depth about how each grounding and energizing crystal functions and when to use a certain crystal for your own or another’s healing practice.

Please note part of this class involves small meditations to recognize the intricacies of these stones. It is recommended for you to have worked with crystals previously, but it is not mandatory. Please just let us know if this is not the case.

Making Your Own Talisman

Create your own crystal talisman while learning about the crystal that resonates to you. A combination of the basics of crystals and the beginning wire wrapping workshops, this course will take you on an energetic and physical journey.

The first section will explain the basic of crystal healing and how to find the stone that fits you. The second part will teach you tips and tricks of the jewelry making trade to create your own special, unique healing talisman.

As this workshop combines two separate workshops, please note it lasts longer than other courses.

We offer both online and in-person classes.

• If interested in in-person classes, they occur in the Toronto at a cafe located at Bloor & Ossington. If you prefer to have your class in a studio or classroom, please let us know upon booking.
• If you would like to have one of our classes outside the GTA area, we are happy to travel!

About Laura

Laura is a teacher, crystal healer, and jewelry artist whose life has led her down the path of explorative and spiritual self-discovery across five countries and six languages. She has lived and worked in India, the USA, South Korea, New Zealand and Canada as a teacher and mentor to individuals of various age groups and cultural backgrounds. In 2009, she returned to her energetic roots while living in New Zealand. The country’s natural, raw beauty re-opened her own crystal healing and artistic skills that she had turned away from as a teenager. When she arrived in Toronto back in 2013, Spirit decided this aspect of her personality should become her focus through a few closed doors. These obstacles led her to enhance her crystal knowledge, intuitive energetic skills, and her artistic abilities.
